Agreeing to these terms
These terms apply when you use this website or hire J&K Carson City Spray Foam Insulation for work at your home or business. By using the site, asking for an estimate or booking a job with us, you agree to them.
If you don't agree, please don't use the site or book work with us. If a written estimate or contract we give you for a specific job says something different from these terms, the written estimate or contract controls for that job.
Who we are and what we do
J&K Carson City Spray Foam Insulation is an insulation contractor based in Carson City, NV. We're fully licensed and insured. You can read more about us on our about us page.
We install, remove and repair insulation in attics, walls, crawl spaces and basements. That includes spray foam, blown-in insulation, which is loose fill blown through a hose, air sealing, which means closing gaps before we insulate, and vapor barriers. The services on our home page and service pages describe the work in general. They aren't an offer for any particular job.
The work we agree to do for you is the work written on your estimate. Anything not listed there isn't included unless we both agree to it in writing.
Estimates and pricing
Quotes are free, done on site and carry no obligation. Your price depends on things like the size of the area, how much insulation is already there and what shape it's in, how hard the space is to reach, and which material you choose.
An estimate is based on what we can see and reach during the visit. Some problems only show up once the job is open, such as old insulation that's wet or full of droppings, damaged framing, or gaps hidden under existing material. If we find something that changes the work or the price, we'll stop, show you and explain your options. We won't do added work or charge for it until you approve it.
Estimates stay good for the time written on them. After that, prices may change because material costs move.
Scheduling, access and cancellation
We'll agree on a start date with you and do our best to keep it. Weather, material shortages, permit timing and earlier jobs running long can push a date back. If that happens, we'll let you know as soon as we can and set a new date with you. A delay we didn't cause isn't a breach of these terms.
You agree to give our crew safe access to the work area, clear a path to the attic hatch or crawl space when we ask, and keep children and pets away from the work. Spray foam has a re-entry time, which is how long you stay out before coming back inside. We'll tell you that time before the job, and you agree to follow it.
If you need to cancel or move your appointment, please call or message us as early as you can. If you cancel after we've ordered materials for your job or started work, you may owe us for the materials and labor already provided.
Payment
Payment is due as stated on your written estimate or invoice. If a deposit is needed for your job, the estimate will say so before you agree to anything.
If a payment is late, we may pause work until the account is current. You're responsible for reasonable costs we have to pay to collect an unpaid balance, to the extent Nevada law allows.
Our guarantee and its limits
We stand behind our work, and your satisfaction is guaranteed. If something about the job isn't right, call us and we'll come back and look at it. Any written warranty for your job will be on your estimate or invoice, and that document sets its terms.
Insulation materials carry their own maker's warranties, and those come from the maker, not from us. Our guarantee doesn't cover damage from causes outside our work. That includes roof or plumbing leaks, pests, storms, changes or repairs other people make later, or problems that were already in the house and weren't part of the job we agreed to.
Insulation can lower drafts and help the power bill, but every house is different. We don't promise a set amount of savings or a set indoor temperature. Apart from what we put in writing, the site and our services are provided as is, to the extent the law allows.
Limitation of liability
To the extent Nevada law allows, J&K Carson City Spray Foam Insulation isn't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, such as lost use of a room, lost income or higher energy costs. For any claim about a job, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit, including harm caused by our own gross negligence or willful misconduct.
Using this website
The information on this site is general, so treat it as a starting point, not advice for your specific house. Prices, rules and product details can change, and we may not update every page right away.
The text, photos and design on the site belong to us or are used with permission. Please don't copy them for business use without asking. Links to other websites are there for convenience. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for what's on them.
Settling a disagreement
If you're unhappy with anything, please talk to us first. Most problems get sorted out with a phone call and a return visit, and we'd rather fix it than argue about it. Reach us at (775) 227-5588 or through our contact page.
If we can't work it out together within a reasonable time, either of us may take the matter to small claims court or another court with jurisdiction, as set out under governing law below.
Governing law
These terms and any job we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada. Any court case about them will be heard in the state or federal courts serving Carson City, NV, and you and we agree to those courts.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time by posting a new version on this page. Changes apply from the day they're posted. They don't change the terms of a job you've already agreed to in writing.
If a part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
